Can Invisalign fix Crowding?
- Posted on: Aug 16 2013
Invisalign can treat a wide range of tooth and bite problems, including certain cases of:
- Gaps between teeth
- Bite misalignment
- Crooked teeth
- Protruding teeth
You must have a comprehensive examination by an experienced dentist in order to know if Invisalign can correct your crowding. Invisalign can treat most cases of tooth crowding, but it depends on the factors causing the crowding. Certain jaw issues may require other treatments. Our experienced dentist, Dr. Lindsey Marshall, can examine and assess your bite and explain your options.
If you are a good candidate for Invisalign, you and Dr. Marshall can discuss its advantages and how the treatment works, and you can decide if the treatment will work for your expectations. Invisalign treatment requires you to wear a series of customized aligners, each one designed to move your teeth a certain way. You must wear the aligners at least 22 hours a day, but you can remove them to brush, floss and eat, which is a major advantage compared to metal braces. There are a number of benefits to choosing Invisalign treatment if you are a good candidate.
